Tauroursodeoxycholate (UR 906) is a naturally occurring, highly hydrophilic, tertiary bile acid. Tauroursodeoxycholate is used in studies of primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC), insulin resistance, amyloidosis, cystic fibrosis, cholestasis and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
